After a brief discussion on what would be the best course of action, I felt comfortable handing over the boat and the whole sales process to Mads and sailed 500Nm to Lagos to leave the boat with him. Not only did his trained eye see lots of things that could be done to make the boat more sellable, he also undertook to actually do what was needed and took more professional pictures with most included in his fee. He also didn’t just put up the boat on one site, but multiple, and in multiple languages according to the groups that should be most interested in my kind of boat.
After about two months where Mads took care of showing it to all interested, he had also taken it to surveyor, and lifted it at a shipyard as per a new potential owner’s request, and there also had the bottom and the folding propeller cleaned that greatly eased further transport and hand-over, the boat was sold to a very nice couple. I wouldn’t have been able to reached such a good win-win for all, buyers included, without professional help and without having to spend very much time. Mads does a top-notch job and I warmly recommend asking him to help you sell your boat as well! ”
